New tutorial and tops

So, I decided to finally put a tutorial up on my page.  It's on fusible applique, a technique I love.  So, go check it out.  Please? And give me some feedback, if you would.  I would love to see if you like this technique as much as I do.
Anyway, here is what I have been up to the past few days.  (I took all last week of from work, so have had six glorious days to sew, yippee! ).
This is another tumbler top I did.  I love the pastels in this, and the flannel monkey fabric is just too cute!  It went perfectly with this:
This is the fleece back for the quilt!  It just fits so well.  I got them both at JoAnn's they had a big sale, and I couldn't resist.  Here is a picture of the quilting:
So warm and comfy, if it was bigger, I would keep it for me, LOL!

I also finished these 2 tops the last couple of days:
Sunbonnet Sue
Crazy cats
I did fusible webbing and buttonhole applique of them both.  I think they are just too cute!  I am having too much fun digging through all my scraps, and coming up with some fabric I didn't even know I had! My oldest son yesterday told me I was having too much fun, and needed to go back to work, well that's tomorrow.  Yikes!  Ah well, vacation was nice while it lasted.
Happy quilting,
     Marianne

  1. The sashing on the Sunbonnet Sue is just so clever. I have many many times put in black or neutral sashing with colored cornerstones. But I have never noticed a quilt with colored sashing and white cornerstones. I say noticed, because it looks so natural that I didn't notice until I looked at the tutorial. Now you know I'm gonna have to steal that idea for my next quilt.
